Thanks go to Liberty Leasing who invited Duncan Harris and Andy House to a Round of Golf and Sponsored Table at Royal Winchester Golf Club on 30 May 2018. The event was The Lawrie McMenemy Celebrity Golf Day which the ex Southampton and Sunderland manager has hosted for the last 14 years in aid of The Autism Hampshire Charity of which he is the Honorary President.

The day consisted of a round of golf, evening meal, presentations and a charity auction. The celebrity aspect was various friends and colleagues of Lawrie McMenemy mainly consisting of ex Southampton FC footballers.

Our golf foursome was hosted by Luke Taylor of Liberty Leasing and joined by Dave Peach, a member of the Southampton 1976 FA Cup winning team, who played for a few other clubs, in all four divisions, in his varied career. The rain held off, the course was in great condition (if not a bit hilly) and the round was enjoyable even if our scoring was only average.

There were a dozen or so celebrities in attendance, included Kevin Keegan, Matt le Tissier, ex-goalkeeper Paul Jones, Chris Nicholl (an ex Aston Villa League Cup winning captain no less!) and some bloke off Big Brother!?!

Thanks again to Liberty Leasing for hosting this chance to meet up, enjoy good company and importantly support the charity.
